INTERNATIONAL WINTER TRAINING SCHOOL
Florence, November, 20-22, 2014
Promoting children’s development:
Evidence based interventions in family and school contexts
Child development scholars are increasingly interested in applied aspects of their research such as children’s health and well-being enhancement and possible risks or maladaptive outcomes prevention – particularly advocating families, schools and communities. Understanding developmental processes provides several indications on the way to optimize positive development as well as on how to prevent or minimize problematic outcomes. Evidence based interventions (EBI) has therefore become an area of increasing interest for both research and policy, with special attention to implementing cooperation among researchers, policy makers and practitioners.
Given the relevance of this area of investigation and applied studies, the Italian Association of Psychology – Division of Developmental and Educational Psychology is pleased to announce the opening of 2nd International Winter Training School for 25 Ph.D. students and early career researchers, to be held in Florence on November 20-22, 2014. The school is open also for 10 auditors.
All candidates have to submit a completed application form in English by July 28th 2014.
Applicants will be emailed acceptance by September 8th, 2014.
Applications shall include a CV and an abstract of about 500 words describing an ongoing or a future project on evidence based interventions in the developmental field and have to be sent to e-mail address: aipwinterschoolebigmail.com
