  • Research Issues: Two project areas are priorities: gender violence and sexism in education. Violence against women is caused by an imbalance of power relations between the sexes, as well as by the desire to control/possession by the male gender over the female. It is necessary to analyze the social, cultural and psychological causes that trigger the violence mechanisms and to work on the educational side to deconstruct gender stereotypes, breaking the chain between virility and violence.

  • Aims and objectives: UDR wants to investigate the different areas in which gender identity of subjects in the development age organizes and defines itself, integrating psychological and pedagogical perspective. UDR aim is to propose theoretical models and operational interventions in the field of education, which are designed to promote respect for differences, uphold the principle of non-discrimination (art.21 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU) and to ensure equal treatment between persons.
